Beloved, although I was very eager to write to you about our common salvation, I found it necessary to write appealing to you to contend for the faith that was once for all delivered to the saints. For certain people have crept in unnoticed who long ago were designated for this condemnation, ungodly people, who pervert the grace of our God into sensuality and deny our only Master and Lord, Jesus Christ. (Jude 1:3-4)

Like wolves in sheeps clothing...

To further help churches deal with various errors that have "crept in unnoticed" (Jude 4) a 2 1/2 hour seminar has been designed in conjunction with A Modern Ninety-Five.  Each session is approximately 25 minutes in length with a 15 minute segment for questions and answers.  A Power Point presentation along with handouts is supplied for all participants. 

In the words of Martin Luther, “Out of love for the truth and the desire to bring it to light”[1], the following propositions need to be discussed in their entirety by church leaders, pastors, and laymen alike. The Church is in danger of numerous heresies and various errors that have not been dealt with except on occasion by individuals. Therefore it is duly noted that the Church should come to a national discussion and debate of the various teachings that have arisen over the centuries since the Reformation and have caused many to fall into error.  Humbly submitted by Nancy A. Over the past 20 years, my Christian life has been guided by the various teachings that I will discuss in this thesis. When Christ converted me in September 1986, I had a keen awareness that God was sovereign. However, as I sat under different ministers and their teachings, much of what the Bible actually teaches was clouded by pragmatism, Charismata, and or the ideas of men. Instead of sitting under exegetical preaching (the type of preaching that seeks to understand what the text means or communicates on its own) I was constantly fed eisegetical teaching (teaching that sought to read into the text the preacher or teacher’s own ideas) above the continuity of the whole Scripture.

Far from desiring to be critical in this endeavor, my heartfelt cry is that those who have walked down the paths that I have traveled will come to find, as I did, how repulsive many of these modern teachings are. There is no one who is immune to the errors that pervade evangelical Christianity today. Unless we are, as Peter said to be, “ready to give an answer for the faith that is in us” (1 Peter 3:15) even other believers can be deceived. Jesus warned us that if it were possible in the last days “even the elect would be deceived.” This is a scary thought for those who value Scripture and desire only the truth.

Scheduling a Seminar

To schedule a Seminar will take work and advertising on your part.  We will provide you with inserts from the publisher for your bulletins and can create a graphic image for you to make posters for your church or newspaper advertisement.   Nancy, under the coverage of her husband, will lead several sessions (plenary and break-out) to enable your people to have a broad and detailed overview of many apologetics themes. You may schedule us for any day of the week including Saturdays and Sundays. 

Topics for sessions can include Apostolic and Prophetic Movements, including the Kansas City Prophets,  false prophecies and modern day revivals, including Lakeview, Pensacola, etc.   Other sessions include the Word of Faith teachings, slaying in the spirit, the prosperity Gospel and selling of God's grace, Trinity and modern anti-trinitarian movements, Seeker Sensitive Churches and Purposed Driven models.  Also there will be definitive training in discerning a true gospel presentation from a false one. Contemporary topics will also be discussed during the question/answer sessions after each teaching session. These are only a few of the many topics we could cover. We would also enjoy including a question and answer session with your people. We will work with you to personalize and customize your conference!

The basic seminar is a one-day 2 1/2 hour long program, but if you wish it can be deepened and broadened for your particular church or group needs.
