Proclaiming the Gospel of Grace

Welcome!

Silent Cry Ministries has always been about serving the individual with the Gospel of Grace.

Founded in 1996, and incorporated as 501c3 religious organization in 2004, Pastor Bobby and Nancy began to minister at local churches sharing through song and testimony.  In 2001, Nancy began mentoring two women in their home and at the suggestion of her husband, they called it "Princess Day."  After 3 months the group grew to 4 women, then 6 then 10 and then 9 months from its inception there were 16 women in their living room.  Nancy was literally teaching from the kitchen because there was no room left.  The following month Princess Day had it's first meeting outside the home and over 30 women attended.  Soon after they were being invited to various churches to teach women's groups all over the NY-Tristate area.

In 2005, Silent Cry Ministries went to Accra, Ghana and held open air evangelistic meetings, women's meetings and visited school and orphanages resulting in planting a new church in Aponoapono-Suhum Ghana.  Upon their return to the states God providentially ordered things so that a new church plant was begun in their home.

Back in 2002, while preparing to go on vacation, as they were leaving the house Nancy spotted a book on her shelf and grabbed it to read on vacation.  That book would be used by God to bring them back to the Doctrines of Grace and it was called, "Old Paths" by J.C. Ryle.  Both Pastor Bobby and Nancy realized that they had strayed very far from the true teachings of Scripture having gotten caught up in many various errors.  As they began to study, God was preparing Bobby to become Pastor of a small house church called Tulip Reformed Church.

Though in our original design, Silent Cry Ministries, Inc. was created to come alongside local and community houses of worship to educate, equip, and encourage both believers in the Gospel of Christ as revealed in the Scriptures alone, as well as to evanglize unbelievers through the preaching of the doctrines of Grace, these tasks are now done through several various arms.  All of these ministries are under the direction and auspices of Silent Cry Ministries.

These include:

  • The Counseling Center (men, women, couples and teens in crisis; those who have or are abused or use abusive substances)
  • Tulip Reformed Church (through expository preaching, catechismal teaching, Scriptural Worship and the Lord's Supper)
  • The Apologetics Center (a resource for defending the Gospel, articles, books, etc.)
  • 3:15 Teens (training tween and teens, ages 11-15 in the doctrines of the faith and equipping them to defend it graciously)
  • Grace Seminary (an online Bible school for women to equip them for their biblical roles in society, click here for more info.)

Silent Cry planted a church here in Ridgewood, NY in 2006 and through that ministry endeavor to teach and train believers to know not only what they believe but why they believe it.  This is done through preaching and proclaiming the wonderful news of justification by faith alone through grace alone in Christ alone as revealed in Scripture alone to the Glory of God alone.

The Apologetics Center has developed through recognizing the need to defend the faith against the onslaughts of the enemy and to teach others to "have an answer for their faith" (1 Peter 3:15) through conversation seasoned with salt (Col. 4:6).  Articles and publications as well as speaking at groups and churches are just some of the ways this part of the ministry is fulfilled.

Silent Cry Ministries is a Reformed, Creedal, Confessional and Evangelical ministry devoted to the 5 Solas (listed above) of the Reformation.  That means we are Reformed in Doctrine and therefore adhere to the Biblical faith as expressed by the great reformers such as:  Martin Luther, Jean Calvin, and many others whom God used to bring His Church back to the Truths of Scriptures

We are Creedal because we believe that the early confessions of the Church, based upon Scripture, such as The Apostles, Nicene and Chalcedonian Creeds best express the vital truths of Christianity.

We are Confessional because we believe that the Confessions from the early Reformers, The Book of Concord, Westminster Confession of Faith, Heidleberg Catechism and Belgic Confessions systematized best what the Word of God teaches.

We are Evangelical because we believe that the Gospel of Jesus Christ is alone the Power of God unto Salvation and that God uses the foolishness of preaching to draw in His Elect.
